Walter Hsiang is a first-year student at the Yale School of Medicine. Before coming to Yale, he worked in healthcare consulting at Simon-Kucher & Partners in Boston, providing due diligence, pricing, and market access strategy support to global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Previously, he has held research positions in both academic and industry settings where his work has ranged from creating a drug-delivery nanoparticle platform in the Fahmy Lab at Yale to developing high throughput siRNA screens at Novartis. Walter graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University. Outside of his professional interests, Walter enjoys alpine skiing, swimming, and (when the opportunity arises) playing with his old rock band Low Strung.
